This was the first real chance to get the Osbornes and Carter/Mailaus together in an informal setting before the big day. It was also the first time I'd seen my Mum, brothers and their families for almost 2 years. (In fact it was the first time I'd met Kane as anything other than a huge lump in his mum's belly -- since he decided not to be born when I was last in Perth, despite my attempts to time my visit with his arrival.)

Unfortunately Dad, Maz and Jeannie's brothers weren't able to make it due to travel and other commitments, but it was a great day nonetheless, and a great way to break the ice.
