Welcome Jasper William

He's here at last. Gorgeous and fighting fit. Jeannie was absolutely amazing, and is recovering beautifully in Ste Elisabeth's.

Update Friday night (about 20 hours into Jasper's first day): Jeannie is in great form! Jasper is feeding like something that feeds really well and makes lots of contented sucking noises. (Sorry, lack of sleep and the fact that I've only got two minutes to write this before racing back to the hospital to spend the night with them is affecting my normally eloquent, poetic writing style)
He's also sleeping brilliantly and I'm really hoping that there might be something to those stories that your own baby's cries not being too irritating - they still sound pretty cute to me. Fingers crossed that will continue.
Yes, I have more photos, but I'm a space-cadet and left the camera at the hospital - watch this space.
For the statistics nuts, he weighed in at 3780g (around 8.3lbs?). No, sorry, I don't know any of his other vital statistics, other than they seem to be appropriately vital.
Now back to the original post:
The last 30+ hours have been so intense that it will be a while before I can make enough sense of it all to share. In the meantime, you'll have to make do with these three photos - many more to come, no doubt:

Will keep you updated, but Jeannie and Jasper are likely to come home from hospital Monday or Tuesday. I'll be spending plenty of time there and will pass on all best wishes until Jeannie gets back online.
