So.... we just had an offer accepted on a house in Rixensart, a French-speaking suburb about 10 minutes from our current locale. Its a great house. It has 5 bedrooms - although one, currently a babies room and just bigger than a crib, will probably become a second bathroom. Another will be a study/office. Nice green block of about 1200m2. Best of all, it is split over a couple of levels so less challenge with those nasty steep slippery stairs!

The kitchen is a bit skanky, so we plan to do a remodel of that. We're both into cooking so are looking forward to designing and building our dream kitchen. We've kept enough funds aside so that we'll actually be able to DO the projects - hopefully, at least, kicking off within a year. There is generally a 3-4 month delay between offer and final settlement here.

Its all quite exciting - but at the moment we are more in shock than anything!
